Give thanks
show Support by sending garden supplies
I have always believed that staying true to who I am and providing distraction-free, quality content was more important than making a few bucks through website ads or by recommending products I don’t believe in. So if you’d like to help keep the vegetables growing and the content flowing, please consider partnering with me by purchasing some items from my gardening wish list. By clicking on the link below, you’ll be taken to The Type A Gardener wish list and any purchases will be sent directly to Sagewood Farms (aka my house) for use in the garden. Thank you for your generosity and support!
gratitude & acknowledgments
In the spirit of giving thanks, I have a growing list of people who I want to acknowledge who have made this project possible and have supported and encouraged my gardening obsession. Without them, I’d be sitting on the couch watching Netflix more than I already do.
Colin, my supportive husband.
My love, you are truly the most patient man I know. You encouraged me to try gardening one last time before giving up forever… which a year later turned into this monstrosity. I bet that’s a moment in time you wish you could do over! Even so, beyond the endless task lists you wake up to every Saturday morning, the many trips to the nursery and the weekly seed packets that arrive in the mail that I promise will be the last, you continue to show up to support me. You put your literal blood, sweat and tears into helping me follow my heart and I don’t think I can ever say enough to show just how much that means to me. Thank you for loving me the way that you do.
Alex, my garden architect.
Sagewood Farm may not exist if not for your willingness to build those first three raised beds… then another one… then a gate… then a few more planter boxes. Accepting food as payment, you worked tirelessly to make a space I could be excited to spend time in - building the framework that put this crazy project in motion. Not only that, you’re always excited to take a tour of the garden and will make extra time to ensure that the passion fruit gets some extra love, delicately weaving each new vine along the fence. Thanks for being a great friend.
Jess, my photographer and branding queen.
You get me. Thank you for generously giving your time, energy, talents and endless encouragement to help me bring this vision to life. By asking just the right questions, you helped me find my voice and personal flair. And most importantly, you took the most beautiful photos, capturing the garden just as I see it, while also making me feel comfortable and confident enough to pose for photos where I don’t look like a total weirdo. You deserve an award for such an accomplishment.
bob & the abraxas garden team, my gardening gurus.
Even though we knew absolutely nothing about gardening, you let us come every week and were patient as we asked questions and slowly built our skills. You taught us so much in those early days, from how to transplant seedlings to building beautiful, loose and nutrient rich soil. You showed us the best seeds to buy and the importance of shading our precious plants from the abundant heat. Thanks for continuing to love on us and share your time and knowledge, we are grateful for your friendship.
